Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I worked in the area and would often frequent this restaurant, but it has been over 20 years since my last visit. My husband and I wanted a pork burrito, but didn't want to drive too far so we elected to go to Jalapenos. We were both impressed with the service we received. The chips and salsa were outstanding and far exceeded our expectation. In fact, they were far better than the Mexican restaurant we frequent most often. The mild salsa with a little of hotter salsa was delicious. Chips were served warm and we could have made a meal of them, but resisted doing so since we had more food coming. Now, about the food. We both ordered the pork burrito and sides of soupy beans and refried beans. If we could, we would give this restaurant over a 5+ rating for both the service and the food. We won't wait another 20 years to return, for sure.

I really like their variety of salsas and they usually have good service. The skinny margarita was pretty good, a little watered down but of course, I still drank it. :) Parking and bathrrooms can be a little questionable, but that's probably more to do with the neighborbood than anything else. Would definitely return and recommend to others.

I had checked this place out years ago, probably before I was even on Yelp, but hadn't been back. As Tex-Mex goes, it's pretty run of the mill. Not out of this world, not bad, but not anything I'd travel to if not in the area. As it turns out, it's close to my spouse's workplace, so, we were in the area. An almost half-hour wait (they'd said 15-20), which is weird for a Thursday night, but whatever. Evidently, people were into the night's enchilada special, maybe? People, from hostess to servers, were really pleasant and service was thorough and prompt, beyond the initial wait. The salsa's really good, server said it's made in-house daily. Chips were warm, thin and crispy, and salty, and kept coming. My husband and FIL had taco salads, and said they were decent. I got fish tacos. You can get grilled tilapia ones, but I abhor tilapia and went for the battered cod, instead. Good cabbage slaw in the tacos, and they were served with a creamy avocado sauce that was nice...The presentation was a little messy, as the tacos were placed kind of ON the bed of refried beans and rice, which made the soft shells pretty messy to handle and eat neatly. But everything was hot and fresh. Refried beans and rice were not too memorable, but the tacos tasted great and were really filling.

Business lunch, restaurant picked by someone else. I'm a vegetarian, and I'm usually fine at a Mexican restaurant -- and there were plenty of options. I chose the fajita veggie salad. I wish they would have had a spicy dressing option, but I had the options of Ranch, Italian, Balsamic vinaigrette, or poppyseed. I also had to ask for guacamole to add to the top. Maybe it's just me, but I think a Mexican salad should automatically come with avocado slices or guacamole! At least they didn't overcharge me for a salad and side of guacamole - my bill was $10.
